I'm a mechanical engineering student in the Bay Area and the founder of DeParts Systems, a custom GPU workstation company I started in 2020 after building my first PC with a Ryzen 3700x and 1070Ti. I realized prebuilts were leaving serious performance and quality on the table.
Since then, I've built and validated 100+ custom workstations for clients ranging from independent creators to professional compute users, focusing on thermal performance, parts verification, and price-to-performance optimization that prebuilt vendors don't bother with.
My goal has always stayed the same: systems that are built right, tested right, and perform exactly as spec'd. No shortcuts.

1. Do you require a deposit?
Yes, all builds require a deposit based on their estimated value!
The most standard process is when a client puts down a deposit after deciding on their build. Once the build is finished, they can pickup and pay the remainder, or pay the remainder before it gets packaged up and shipped out to them.
Everyone also has the option to pay in one lump sum or pay in increments and receive their build once finished. If you'd like your PC ASAP, my shop on PayPal offers monthly financing or Pay in 4 for select individuals. Keep in mind these financing options can incur fees and/or interest.
2. Who's building my PC?
Currently, DeParts Systems is a one-man shop. I don't have a team yet, and the only person building your PC will be me for now. This makes it a lot easier to personalize your build and communicate with you about the progress. As I work on this business expanding, I may eventually have an assistant or two!
3. What's the estimated wait time & shipping?
The estimated wait time for all my builds is around 1 to 2 weeks max from when a client puts down a deposit OR full payment. This allows all the parts to ship in and for me to put together the build, then test the integrity thoroughly. I may have several parts in stock already, but I often wait to order cases and CPU coolers since they are usually custom picked.
As for estimated shipping times, this depends on where you are located. Shipping will always cost under $60 within the USA and can vary greatly if international. (CA to OR: 1-3 days. CA to VA: 6-7 days. CA to the UK: 8-15 days.)
4. Where do you source your parts from? Are they high quality?
I source the majority of my parts from bulk vendors who are constantly liquidating pallets of parts and provide to other tech or computer companies. I spend tens of thousands to be able to provide a wide arrange of parts and flexible options to my clients.
When I receive shipments in from my suppliers, components are usually open-box or brand new. All parts go through dual testing procedures, stress-tested first by my suppliers and then a second time by me, in a completed system. I ensure that all parts live up to quality expectations and are in perfect working condition. As a builder with years of experience, I know what brands and models to avoid in order to bring the highest of quality builds to my clients. If any issues arise, builds are covered by their warranty policy.
5. How do I know you're reputable?
For the most part, you can find my digital footprint online! I have approximately 80+ sales on Offerup, 50+ on Facebook Marketplace, 100+ on Reddit, and 90+ reviews on Google! There are honestly hundreds more that are not confirmed/reviewed. I also have a small following on Instagram and TikTok, where I post the builds I complete for my clients.
Above all else, you can feel free to call me personally or swing by to drop off your deposit in person.
6. Can I select specific brand names?
I create some of the most personalized builds in the current PC market. As long as the difference is covered, I'm able to build with practically any hardware you can find on Amazon. However, I do often have motherboards, GPUs, CPUs, PSUs, RAM on-hand, so I prefer to stick to building with the stock I already purchased. If you would still like to choose a certain brand name, let me know and I'll see how I can accommodate.
7. Can I pickup my build?
All of my clients are welcome to swing by to pickup their build once completed if they'd like to save money with shipping or if they are local. I'm located in Alameda Bay Area, CA.
LIFETIME LABOR WARRANTY
Lifetime labor warranty applies only to issues directly caused by original assembly or configuration errors.
This warranty does not cover wear and tear, component aging, or failures unrelated to the original build.
Replacement parts required to correct an assembly error are billed at cost. Labor for the repair remains free under this warranty.
1 MONTH FULL WARRANTY
If the PC malfunctions within 30 days of delivery or pickup due to assembly or configuration errors, DeParts Systems will repair or replace affected components at no cost to the client, including both parts and labor.
By accepting delivery or pickup, the client acknowledges that the system has been received in working condition unless any issues are reported within 24 hours of receipt.
Any issues related to shipping damage, missing components, or immediate non-functionality must be reported within this 24-hour period.
Issues that arise after this period will be handled under this warranty if they are determined to be related to assembly or configuration.
Shipping coverage, if provided, is at my discretion. DeParts Systems is not responsible for damage once the system has been handed off to the carrier. Shipping insurance is the client’s responsibility.
All claims are subject to initial troubleshooting and verification.
STRESS TESTED
All systems are thoroughly stress tested prior to delivery to ensure stability, thermal performance, and overall build integrity.
Testing includes CPU and GPU-intensive workloads to identify issues such as crashes, thermal instability, or hardware defects. While this process significantly reduces the likelihood of failure, certain issues (such as intermittent RAM or motherboard faults) may not be immediately detectable.
Any qualifying issues discovered within the warranty period will be covered under the terms outlined above.
Individual components are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. DeParts Systems will assist with guidance, but is not responsible for manufacturer defects beyond initial validation.
COMPONENT WARRANTY
All major components carry manufacturer warranties. Coverage terms and transferability vary by brand and retailer — some warranties are tied to the original purchaser, others are serial-number based. DeParts Systems retains full component documentation to manage manufacturer claims. If a component fails outside the 30-day window, contact DeParts Systems first for diagnostic assessment before initiating any manufacturer claim. We'll identify the appropriate resolution path and manage the claim on your behalf.
For professional and workstation builds, DeParts Systems will make reasonable efforts to source replacement components or negotiate resolutions with manufacturers on the client's behalf, even outside warranty coverage, as part of our ongoing client relationship. If a component is outside its manufacturer warranty period or a claim is deemed ineligible, DeParts Systems is not obligated to provide replacement or repair beyond the original 30-day full warranty. Resolution in such cases is at DeParts Systems' sole discretion.
WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS
The following actions void warranty coverage on affected components: physical modification or damage after delivery, overclocking beyond DeParts Systems' validated and documented settings, unauthorized component removal or reinstallation after delivery, and software modifications that cause hardware instability. If you're unsure whether a planned change affects your warranty, text us first.
CANCELLATION & RETURN POLICY
Builds may be canceled at the cost of the initial deposit.
All sales are final. Returns are not accepted.
DeParts Systems is not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or business interruption. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups.
The deposit covers time spent on consultation, design, and sourcing — including components that may be non-returnable.
In certain cases, DeParts Systems may, at it's sole discretion, offer a partial refund after cancellation if components are successfully resold or returned. Any refund amount will be determined based on recovered costs after fees, depreciation, and time spent. This is not guaranteed and is handled on a case-by-case basis.
IMPORTANT:
1. The system must not be tampered with or modified outside of its original configuration.
2. Original packaging provided upon pickup or shipment may be required for certain warranty or shipping claims.
3. Serial numbers are recorded and suspected misuse or fraudulent activity will result in denial of support.
4. This builder's warranty is NOT transferrable.
5. Warranty may be void if the system has been tampered with, modified, improperly handled, exposed to unsafe conditions (including but not limited to power instability, improper cooling, or environmental damage), or used outside intended operating parameters.
6. My warranty does not cover instances that involve anything other than the functionality of the hardware purchased, such as software/firmware, RGB/aesthetic lighting, etc.
7. I am not responsible for any damage from software/firmware installations or overclocking/user-modifications.
8. All payments are final once parts have been ordered or work has begun. Chargebacks or payment disputes without prior communication will be considered a breach of agreement.
9. Support is limited to issues directly related to the hardware and original build configuration. Ongoing technical support, software troubleshooting, or user-related issues may be subject to additional service fees.
10. I am not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond my control, including but not limited to supply chain issues, shipping delays, or natural events.
STUFF MORE OR LESS FOR MY PROTECTION:
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall my company or its affiliates, employees, agents, or licensors be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our products. Our liability to any customer shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the product that is the subject of the claim. This limitation of liability shall apply regardless of the cause of action, even if my company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Mandatory Arbitration Agreement
Any dispute arising out of or related to our products or services, or the terms and conditions governing their use, shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as applicable. The arbitration shall take place in a mutually agreed-upon location, and shall be conducted by a single arbitrator appointed in accordance with the rules of the selected arbitration organization. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment may be entered thereon in any court of competent jurisdiction. The parties hereby waive any right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit. The cost of the arbitration, including the arbitrator's fees and expenses, shall be borne equally by the parties, unless the arbitrator orders otherwise. These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
